The Martindale CP501 Check Plug is a simple socket tester designed for checking standard UK 230V 13A wall sockets. It has three bright lights that illuminate to show the presence and nature of a wiring fault. The tester works as soon as it is plugged in and there is a handy reference chart on the casing which the user can consult during tests.
