The Seaward Primetest 100 PAT Tester is a simple and effective appliance tester that can test Class I and Class II appliances and IEC extension leads. It is a battery-powered tester that benefits from a portable, handheld design and it is very straightforward to use.
To carry out a test with the Seaward Primetest 100, all the user needs to do is correctly connect the appliance to the tester and press the appropriate test button. A clear PASS or FAIL indication is provided alongside a numerical test result for earth bond continuity, insulation resistance and leakage current. The numerical data enables accurate testing of longer extension leads which may be allocated a false FAIL result.
In order to best use the Seaward Primetest 100, the user can download the Seaward PATMobile app, available for free for Android and iOS devices. By entering results manually, the user can keep a portable, digital database of test results. Results can also be exported in HTML format to a PC and the user can even add photographs taken with their device’s camera.
The Seaward Primetest 100 is suitable for safety checking on office appliances and IT equipment as well as domestic appliances. It is an ideal beginner’s PAT tester thanks to its easy operability and portable design.
